New local-league toolkit, draft 5-year vision, and potential rules-of-play changes top this month’s NGFFL month’s e-news. Check out The 2-Minute Drill here: http://bit.ly/mvUKfY
In the spirit of transparency, the NGFFL board shares the minutes of its monthly telephonic board meetings. Here are the minutes from the March meeting. Lots of time was devoted to the bids to host Gay Bowl 2012. But that’s not all. The board also reviewed progress on the forthcoming local league-development toolkit, the league’s all-new corporate partnership strategy that is receiving finishing touches, and the 5-year vision the board is attempting to craft for entire-league input and approval.

In attendance: David Donohue (Ft. Lauderdale), Jared Garduno (Phoenix), Molly Lenore (New York), Shane Kinkennon (Denver), Thurman Williams (Atlanta), Cyd Zeigler (Los Angeles)
Check out the amazing results of the NGFFL’s Gay Bowl player survey, the first of its kind in the league. See what players think about topics such as the role of the NGFFL and its board and how the NGFFL can help grow the sport. And learn what we collectively think about all things Gay Bowl, including the possibility of forming A and B divisions, a possible future women’s division, and striking the right balance between including straight allies and being first and foremost a comfortable home for LGBT people. According to initial results of the recent Gay Bowl player survey, 64% of respondents said either the communication they receive from the NGFFL is not enough, or they don’t receive communication at all. Ninety-two percent said they’d like to receive an e-newsletter from the NGFFL.
So today, the NGFFL launched The 2-Minute Drill, the league’s new monthly e-newsletter. Click here to read this month’s issue. We hope it helps increase understanding of the NGFFL and engages more of us in advancing our great sport in the LGBT community.

Many thanks to NGFFL board member Molly Lenore for driving this important project.
