Four rules changes proposed for 2010

football_blockingThe NGFFL Board has approved four rules changes for 2010. These proposals are now being sent to the representatives of the 18 member cities; A proposal needs the support of 50% plus 1 of the voting members.

The four proposed changes are:

1) Add 5-yard penalty for flag-guarding
2) Change the rush rule from the ‘box’ to a 5-yard offset
3) Allow teams to gain a first down in overtime
4) Change end-of-half timing and the extra plays

    so if there is a strait rush can the qb run at any time past the line of scrimmage?

    The QB can run for a gain once per possession. And he can cross the LOS at any point along the line.
